- question of the week - color of the week

In western culture, red is associated to strength, love, openness, but also to anger, hate and revolution. Red is regarded as a color for girls. In ancient times, red clothes implied salutes and good luck in the future.

According to the chakras, a red person is a fearless adventurer, self-indulgent and self-dependent.

In Finnish language, the word "puna" (red) has formerly referred to hair, wool or feather. After that, it began to denote red or reddish animal hair - red is the most common color of it. Gradually, the meaning of the word shifted to sheer "red".
